I assume there was a standing ovation when Alford was announced at HC?

Wrong. Iowa is significantly more popular than 7 times. You need to extrapolate out the fact that there are less people in the Iowa City area than there are in the LA area. Then multiply that number by the 7 times more people at CHA and THEN you get how much more popular Iowa is this year as compared to UCLA.

Just a guess, but I would say 1,637 times more popular.

Just my 2¢ .. .. but I'm no statistician, so it might not be worth that much .. ..

    GO HAWKS!!!

SA might be more popular today after he landed five star forward ,Looney, out of Milwaukee...#13 rated player in the country in the 2014 class...beat out favorite Duke for him....its a start .

How did that sales pitch go?

Steve: Sooo...do you think you may be a "one and done"?

Looney: Yeah, I do coach. What about you?

    Steve: Maybe...rumors are already swirling...

That's sad. Looks like Carver back when Lick was the coach.

I just noticed in that picture, the fans don't even want to be close to Alfraud. 1000 empty seats near the floor and they would rather be 20 rows up! I guess they don't want any slime getting on them. Good plan.

Or he just said, "Hey I'm from Milwaukee, may as well head to LA to play and chase tail for a year or two. Who is the coach again?"
