Thanks for posting this. Love reading stories about our boys keeping us in the loop of how they're doing. Especially one like Jok. When you think of his life it's so unrelateable to my own I find him fascinating and cant help but be all in rooting for him to do well.

As a Lakers fan, who are DESPERATE for shooters to pair up with Lebron, I often wonder if Peter could ever get a chance with them.

Lakers front office brought in a bunch of journeymen last year, who could supposedly play defense. What Lebron needs, though, are spot up shooters who can knock down 3’s when he draws all of the attention. Still have to believe that there is a place for him in the NBA.

Good call. I agree hes big enough strong enough and can clearly shoot well enough. I'd love to see him spend some off season time with Kyle Korver and learn some tricks of the trade from him. You cant tell me hes not capable of playing D any better or worse then Korver... I'm rooting for him so booing he gets a chance and capitalizes on it

That Lakers scenario might not be that far fetched. Now that the Lakers will be getting Anthony Davis they are going to have some serious salary cap issues. They will have to shore up their roster with some bargain basement contracts, some might be veteran minimums but some minimum NBA salaries might be necessary as well.

Hope so for Peter, but Lebron doesn't play any defense and bringing Pete aboard when, well, defense isn't his specialty....

    ...in the regular season.

Although eventually I think that becomes a switch that is difficult to flip. How many seasons in a row of bad defensive habits does it take to make someone an unreliable post-season defender as well?

Just saw that Peter has made the summer league roster of the Orlando Magic.

They play tonight, Friday, against the Spurs. 10 PM central on nba tv, just a half hour before the Nuggets game.

With Orlando leading late in the game and Peter not yet getting any playing time the game was halted due to the earthquake.

The good news is that Peter is on the Magic roster.

I could be wrong but I think summer league teams tend to sit players one game then play them the next and sit other guys that just played. That way guys get 20+ minutes in one game vs 10 minutes each in 2 games. Allows players to get in the flow of the game. Hopefully that's why Pete didn't play and he gets a good chunk of playing time in their next game.

I always thought Jok's game would translate to the NBA, but if he hasn't make it by now...:(

He still has some time. His skill set of being a 3 point specialist could open some doors in the next year or so. I always thought he could be a Kyle Korver type off the bench. He's posted some pretty good 3 point numbers in his G League career, especially last year after being injured during his 1st season.

PJ gets his first action of the summer league as the Magic lose to the Heat 96-92. Peter played 5 minutes in the first half and didn't do much but came on pretty good in the second half.
