Truly sad. RIP
Kudos to Purdue for everything they did for him this fall to make his final weeks as enjoyable as possible. Watching BTN Final Drive right now. News should soon break during the show.
Tough, brave dude. I enjoyed listening to him as he knew his football and his team. Rest young man.
An awesome kid, and it's great though that his favorite team embraced him and his family. Purdue did it right.
Rest easy and in peace young Tyler.
R.I.P.Tyler Trent. I'll never forget your brave fight and my heart goes out to your family, friends and Boiler Nation.
He was an inspiration!
He was a tough young man, and now he's cancer free. Hawkeyenation sends our deepest sympathies to your family Tyler. You are a true inspirer of spirit and belief. You will never be forgotten
A very sad loss of a very inspiring young man. Heart goes out to his family, friends and Boiler Nation.
Most of us guys think we're pretty tough - sorry, but 99% of us will thankfully never have to be be Tyler-tough.
Tyler Trent...that young man in my eyes was the epitome of toughness. To endure the kind of pain he must have gone through and yet he still found the strength to man up and go to the game, to LOVE his team like he did and be smiling and enjoying each moment regardless of the outcome. I keep thinking of how happy he was to see the woodshed beatdown they gave tOSU ...Dammit I can't stop crying now.
THAT my Hawkeye brothers is toughness in its purest sense.
Extra prayer tonight for his folks and for all of Boiler Nation.
Some people are sick too but get to live: : Link
I saw that. Wtf is wrong with people?!? Who sends death threats to the mother of a kid who just died?? I can’t even fathom how someone gets to a point that they do something like that.
