I think this year is a step up in the article department, if that's possible. :) In all honesty, loved the recent work on the DTs, Oliver Martin, Linderbaum, etc, etc.

Great work...now get back to work and keep it coming!

I agree. Very informative articles considering the time you have access to the players is probably very limited.

Thanks. I am running low on material already. We only received about 30 minutes with each side of the ball on media day. And we don't get players again until the Tuesday before the opener. We do talk to the coordinators this coming Tuesday.

Just make up a bunch of stuff and attribute it to "anonymous sources." That seems to work.

Maybe throw in a conspiracy theory now and then.

I'll get you started Rob: I heard there is a "deep state" within the Big Ten officials targeted at bringing down the Ferentz tenure. We will never get a close call again (NW catch in the end zone, pass interference at Purdue, timeout at Penn State on the goal line).

Perhaps we could have an HN funded drone hover over the practice field to get the low down on practices. ;)

Rob - When you going to cover that "Ferentz bringing in strippers for recruits" story?

I've been on needles waiting for it.

Rob Howe's work is the #1 reason I enjoy this board. Lots of terrific, unbiased information and reporting on the Hawkeyes.

    Thank you.

I'd put a check in the mail, but my salary won't allow it.

in the negative cesspool that is social media today, I am sure Rob appreciates some positive kudos from time to time. Most people who are artist, provide a service or put themselves out there regularly for people to digest appreciate positive feed back more than you'd imagine.

All I ask is that the Hawkeyes field a great team this fall that is in contention for the entire season. Wouldn't that be fun??

That, or cover RAGBRAI and the state fair and roll out a new article each week...

As I said in another thread, it is cool to hate, to tear down, to critique. It has always been such, and great people have known this...

I am not sure to what degree Rob's typing fingers are "marred by dust and sweat and blood", or to what extent he feels he is "daring greatly", but his efforts are appreciated by many, me included.
