IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Iowa men's basketball team moved up four spots to No. 5 in the latest Associated Press poll released Monday. The Hawkeyes won, 73-57, at then fourth-ranked Ohio State Sunday. The Buckeyes dropped to seventh this week.
Iowa has spent much of the season in the Top 10. A stretch that saw it lose four of five games last month knocked it down to No. 15 but it's risen back up by winning five of its last six contests.
Gonzaga remained No. 1. Michigan, which defeated Iowa at home on Thursday, moved up a spot to second after previous No. 2 Baylor lost to Kansas during the weekend. The Bears checked in at three with Illinois No. 4.
West Virginia is sixth, Alabama is eighth, Houston is ninth and Villanova rounds out the Top 10. Click HERE for the complete Top 25.
The Hawkeyes are scheduled to finish up the regular season this week with home games against Nebraska (Thursday) and Wisconsin (Sunday).
