IOWA CITY, Iowa - Chauncey Golston became the first Iowa Hawkeye selected in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Detroit native was chosen by the Dallas Cowboys with the 21st pick of the third round, the 84th player taken overall.
Golston started all eight games in '20, recording 24 solo tackles and 21 assists. He racked up 8.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, one pass break-up and three pressures.
He was named first-team All-Big Ten by league coaches and media as well as by the Associated Press and Phil Steele. He was one of 24 semifinalists for Lott IMPACT Trophy.
