Nobody knows when Iowa football players will be called back to campus, but Josh Volk is preparing for when that day comes. The incoming freshman offensive lineman from Cedar Rapids Xavier High is meeting on line with position coach Tim Polasek. They’re working on the installation of the Hawkeye offense.
Volk chose Iowa ahead of offers from Iowa State and Nebraska. He’s recovered from an ACL injury suffered during his junior season and has been working out at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. He’s packed 310 pounds on his 6-foot-4 frame.
We caught up with Volk for our latest HN Prospect Podcast. He talked about choosing Iowa, rehabbing, hobbies, position destination in college, his baseball career and more.
