The 15-month-long, pandemic-related recruiting dead period ended Tuesday. A day later, Iowa Football picked up a verbal commitment from Waunakee (WI) High offensive lineman Jack Dotzler, its third known pledge in the 2022 Class.
Dotzler (6-7, 265) chose the Hawkeyes ahead of reported scholarship offers from Arizona State, Indiana, Iowa State, Michigan State, Penn State, Purdue, Vanderbilt and others.
Rivals and 247 sports rank Dotzler as a three-star prospect. The latter shows him as the No. 63 offensive tackle nationally in the '22 recruiting class and the No. 9 overall player in Wisconsin for the cycle.
Dotzler joins defensive linemen Aaron Graves and Caden Crawford as members of Iowa's '22 recruiting class.
