Jacob Bostick unofficially visited Iowa Football earlier this month. It was his first chance to see the Hawkeyes in person.
The Palatine (IL) High receiver came back to campus on an official visit this weekend. It provided him a more up-close, personal look at the program.
This stop included a current student-athlete playing host to him. That was special.
"Tyrone Tracy is my guy. He's a great dude. He's pretty funny, too," Bostick told HN.
Iowa played host to 14 official visitors during the weekend. Bostick and nine others were not yet verbally committed.
"Seeing the coaches again was really awesome. And I got to build relationships with the other recruits on the visit," Bostick said
He spent a lot of time with receivers coach Kelton Copeland.
"Seeing coach Copeland again was great. In our position meeting, he broke down how they see me in their offense. It was a great meeting. It cleared up a lot of questions I had. They see me being very versatile in their offense," Bostick said.
He's still deciding on a college major.
"From an academic stand point, it was very impressive. I met professors and advisors. They were all great people," he said
Bostick (6-3, 170) also officially visited Illinois and Louisville this month. Cincinnati, Kansas State and Pittsburgh also were among his 21 reported offers.
"Making a decision soon is the goal," Bostick said.
As a junior, Bostick caught 31 passes for 451 yards and nine touchdowns in six games.
Rivals ranks Bostick as a three-star recruit. The service lists him as the No. 64 receiver nationally in the 2022 Class and the No. 10 player regardless of position in Illinois.
