Hawkeyes Pick Up Commitment from Quavon Matthews

Iowa’s recruiting roll continued Sunday. The Hawkeyes picked up their third verbal commitment of the week when Florida receiver Quavon Matthews announced on Twitter that he was pledging.

Matthews (5-11, 165) visited Iowa this week with his Largo (FL) High coach, Marcus Paschal, an all-Big Ten defensive back with the Hawkeyes last decade. Iowa also landed Largo receiver Calvin Lockett in the ’18 Class.

Matthews joined Kansas offensive lineman Mason Richman and Yahya Black, a defensive lineman from Kansas, as prospects joining the Hawkeyes this week. He’s represented the 13th known verbal commitment in the class and the first receiver.
