Iowa Feels Like Home for Missouri WR William Lee

Iowa extended a scholarship offer to Kirkwood (MO) High receiver William Lee last December. The Class of 2021 prospect finally visited campus last month for the Hawkeyes’ 26-20 victory against Purdue.

“On the Iowa visit, I liked how the coaching staff made the university feel like home and made everybody feel welcome,” Lee told HN.

The Hawkeyes have been building a relationship with Lee (6-2, 185) since extending him an opportunity last year.

“When Iowa offered me, it meant the world. It showed me all the hard work I put in is paying off,” he said.

Assistant LeVar Woods has been leading the Hawkeyes’ recruitment of Lee. They connected during the visit.

“We talked about the campus and the weightlifting room,” Lee said.

Business or Mechanical Engineering are college majors Lee is considering.

“I don’t know when I’ll be committing, but I know it will be my senior year. I’m looking for a school that feels like home. I’ve got to be comfortable there,” he said.

The Hawkeyes stand out as Lee’s lone scholarship offer to date. He’s hearing from Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri and Wisconsin.

Missouri played host to him on a visit last February.

Rivals and 247 have not yet ranked Lee, who also plays outside linebacker.
