A Hawkeye game-day experience is unlike any other in the country. Visiting recruits take part in one of college football’s greatest new traditions.

For the third season, fans in Kinnick Stadium wave to patients in the children’s hospital at the end of the first quarter. It’s moving.

Kansas City (MO) Park Hill receiver Jaylin Noel found that out first-hand on Oct. 19 during Iowa’s 26-20 victory against Purdue. Participating impacted him.

“That was amazing and it made me feel like I was doing something special, which I was,” he told HN.

Noel’s weekend was made more special when he received a Hawkeye scholarship offer.

“It meant a lot. Any school that gives me an opportunity towards my dream is a blessing,” the Class of ’21 prospect said.

Noel enjoyed the facilities tour.

“He was the one to offer me. He was really impressed in what I could do so far in the season and was intrigued in if I could improve on the little things. He also believed I would be a good fit in the program,” Noel said.

Noel, who is considering college majors in Business, Engineering or Sports Management, also reports scholarship offers from Iowa State, Kansas State, Minnesota and South Dakota State. He’s hearing from Kansas, Louisville, Missouri and Wisconsin.

“I plan on committing to a school before my senior season of football. I’m looking for a school that feels like family and benefits me the most with my success in the future, for education and football,” her said.
